TxDOT will host a live virtual public meeting to provide the public an opportunity to learn about the Ports-to-Plains Corridor Feasibility Study and to provide input on preliminary recommendations provided by the study's segment committees. This public meeting will focus on Segment #1 from the New Mexico and Oklahoma borders to the Hale/Lubbock County line. 

Virtual Meeting: Thursday, May 14, 2020

The virtual public meeting will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at 4 p.m. This will be a webinar format (no in-person meeting) which will include a live presentation and comment opportunity via WebEx, which will be recorded and available until Friday, May 29, 2020. Study Description

The 86th Texas Legislature passed House Bill 1079 to study the Ports-to-Plains Corridor, including an evaluation of the feasibility of, and the costs and logistical matters associated with improvements that create a continuous flow, four-lane divided highway that meets interstate highway standards to the extent possible, including improvements that extend Interstate 27 between the New Mexico and Oklahoma borders and Laredo.
